Ok, I'm not fishing in this picture, but on our road trip from Washington to Alaska we had planned to stop at this beautiful lake to do some much needed relaxing and a little fishing. All it took was about 12 seconds for us to realize there would not only be ZERO fishing happening, but that we'd need to drive on for another 6 straight hours to jump to our next checkpoint.
Ahhhhh how I love a good road trip.
The real fishing news relates to this weekend. After work Adam and I are dropping the pups off at the boarders (oh how I wish I had family in the area to watch my dogs on days like today) and heading south to the fishing town of Seward, AK.
We'll camp tonight (STAY AWAY BEARS PLEASE) and then tomorrow bright and early we'll head out for a day of ocean fishing on a chartered boat!
If all goes well we could come home with FOUR halibut, and TWELVE silver salmon.
This could mean I never buy fish again all summer.
Here fishy fishy fishy…
I really hope on Sunday I can share pictures of me proudly holding up a 60 pound halibut. Oh how I wish.
