This is how I start my mornings, my post lunch (when I remember) and my right before I'm off work.
Blue light therapy in 15 minute blasts in an effort to wake up my brain and shake off the winter cobwebs.
It's still dark outside my window right now and it's 8:47am. I made the mistake of checking the sunrise and sunset records for today, and they're telling me I wont see sunlight for another 40 minutes. Sunset for today? 5:59pm. A total of 8 hours and 32 minutes of glorious daylight.
It's getting really hard to get up in the morning, but with my dawn simulator on order I have faith I'll have better mornings here soon. This winter I am armed with knowledge and a year under my belt. Eat well, drink less, workout more, use light therapy, stay active, stay active, stay active.
It snowed today. Real snow this time. The kind of snow that wont melt. The real start to winter.
Bring it on winter. I've got skis I've been itching to dust off for quite some time now.
