I was nervous excited about my bachelorette party weekend. Mostly
because the idea of asking a group of women to come and devote themselves to
essentially showering me in awesome felt a little off putting.
LOOK HOW SPECIAL I AM!
Back in December I may have even cried to two friends about it,
and they assured me it would be full of the awesome and everyone would only do
whatever I felt comfortable with.
And you know what? Those bitches didn't disappoint. How can you
not be stoked when,
A. All of your favorite people in the whole world come together in
B. Someone makes you a sparkly cowboy hat with a veil.
E. Making fun of your
distain for thong underwear your friends give you a wall of granny-panties.
More than half of which they bought you to be funny and you're like, Oh
yeah, I'll totally wear those.
F. Someone arrives at your house to teach you about the latest and greatest sex toys and gives you a BJ lesson AND you get to wear a strap-on (no joke. what an interesting experience!).
G. You are handed a laminated bar crawl card listing
specific bars, the drink of the night, AND a challenge for me to complete. Over
the course of one night out I got a sharpie tattoo from a stranger, rode a
stranger piggy-back through a bar, took a picture with a hipster with a beard
and glasses, and let a stranger take a body shot off me (it was his first!
Awwwww). When you're someone like me, who likes to get a little booze in me and
make strangers feel uncomfortable, handing me a card with challenges, as well
as a bag full of penis cutouts to give to strangers, IS THE BEST BACHELORETTE
I would show you pictures… but I need to protect the innocent.
Overall it was an amazing weekend, I never thought it would be so
easy to put so many different personalities from all my years in one room and
see them all just get along so well, and frankly I'm thinking yearly girls
trips are in order.
And now that the bachelorette party milestone is complete, that
leaves only three weeks till Adam
and I board the plane to Bend to kick off the wedding week celebrations.
Guess I should probably finalize that whole wedding music playlist
